Gandhi took a pot shot at the corporate control over Mumbai’s land and resources, specifically targeting Adani’s involvement in the redevelopment of Dharavi. He warned that such corporate domination could drastically change the city's character and harm public welfare.

The BJP has responded to Rahul Gandhi's criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him "chota popat" and accusing him of ruining the Congress. The party also condemned Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's "poisonous snakes" remark,

With the Maharashtra elections just around the corner, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in his final attempt to land a final blow at the BJP and its Mahayuti alliance, mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark of "ek hain to safe hain" by bringing out a safe during a press conference on Monday.

Playing to the gallery, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday opened a heavy steel safe with "Ek Hai To Safe Hai" written over it and then pulled out two posters out of it.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Rahul Gandhi inferred that a safe meant 'tijori' as his party had looted the country for decades through various scams.

Rahul Gandhi earlier in the day claimed that the BJP’s slogan of ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’ primarily serves to the benefit of industrialist Gautam Adani.
