A week after cellphone users across the U.S. reported a flurry of racist text messages, members of the Hispanic and LGBTQ communities are now receiving text messages saying they have been selected for deportation or to report to a re-education camp,

The FBI says the messages being sent to Hispanic and LGBTQ individuals are similar to those that have been sent to some African Americans in at least 10 states. One individual told Scripps News that he received a text message that was ordering Black people to report to plantations for slavery.

The FBI said it's received reports that Hispanic and LGBTQ people were targeted by threatening text messages similar to those received by numerous Black people after the election.
