Coming off back-to-back losses for the first time all season, the Winnipeg Jets improved to 16-3 Tuesday night thanks to a 6-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. Mark Scheifele recorded a hat trick and the Jets fended off a late comeback attempt to beat the Stanley Cup champions in the rematch after getting schooled by the Panthers just a few days earlier.

First it was Kyle Connor jumping on a loose puck in Florida’s zone and beating Sergei Bobrovsky with a backhand over his glove, and then just over three minutes later, Mark Scheifele wired a wrist shot under Bob’s glove and over his pad from the right faceoff dot.

The teams finished with identical 52-24-6 records last season, but while the Jets face criticism the Panthers don't.
