DALLAS – The Dallas Police Department has not given any updates four days into its investigation into how a Southwest flight departing for Indianapolis was hit with a bullet on the runway at Dallas Love Field.

Dallas police are investigating after a Southwest Airlines flight was struck by a bullet Friday evening as it was preparing to depart from Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas, authorities said.

An investigation is underway after a Southwest Airlines plane was hit by gunfire while preparing for departure from Dallas Love Field Airport. A single bullet pierced the cockpit, but no injuries were reported.
