DJ Lagway isn't even done with his first season at Florida, but Billy Napier has already found a potential successor. The Gators secured a commitment from Tramell Jones Jr. Sunday evening. The 4-star QB is from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville.

Just days after decommitting from the Florida State Seminoles, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones has flipped to the University of Florida, bolstering the Gators’ 2025 recruiting class.

Jones de-committed from struggling Florida State last Thursday. The QB was in attendance for Florida’s big victory over LSU in Week 12 before announcing his flip on Sunday. Miami, UCF, and Louisville were among other teams that had an interest in the dynamic QB prospect.

Mandarin quarterback who had been on board and committed to Florida State since the spring of 2023, has flipped said pledge to Billy Napier and the Florida Gators. The announcement came over the weekend after Jones took in Gainesville for an official visit.

After an official visit this weekend in Gainesville to see a victory over LSU, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones committed to Florida, he told ESPN on Sunday, joining the Gators' 2025 class just four days after pulling his pledge from Florida State.
