On the two-year anniversary of the deadly Club Q mass shooting in Colorado Springs, survivors and family members of those killed announced a federal lawsuit claiming El Paso County officials and Club Q management could have prevented the shooting.

Many survivors from the Club Q mass shooting say they're still recovering from what happened, and one of them and some family members of the victims are taking legal action.

Victims who survived and mothers of those killed in the mass shooting at an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colo., in 2022 have filed lawsuits alleging that the murders could have been prevented if the local sheriff's office had used the state's red flag law to seize the killer's guns after clear warning signs appeared that he intended to commit violence.
