The 15-point margin of victory over then-No. 9 Arizona was Wisconsin’s largest over a top-10 opponent since it defeated Michigan State, 67-49, on Feb. 2, 2010. The 103 points were also the most for the Badgers against a ranked opponent.

John Tonje had a career-high 41 points to lead Wisconsin to a 103-88 victory over No. 9 Arizona on Friday night.

Wisconsin basketball landed at No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll on Monday. After being placed in the ‘receiving votes’ section of last week’s poll, Wisconsin received 370 points in this week’s update to firmly cement itself in the hierarchy.

John Calipari, another Hall of Fame coach, brings No. 18 Arkansas to The Garden to face Michigan in the second game of the Jimmy V Classic doubleheader on Dec. 10. Calipari is in his first season with the Razorbacks after leaving Kentucky last spring.

Arizona is going to be contending for a Big 12 title in their first year as a member of the conference. That's the type of program Tommy Lloyd has built in his short time in charge, having already taken the Pac-12 by storm with two regular season titles and two conference tournament titles during his first three years on the job before they moved conferences ahead of this campaign.

The 9th-ranked Arizona Wildcats play their first road game of the season, visiting the Wisconsin Badgers. The teams are meeting for the second year in a row, with the UA winning 98-73 at home last December.
