The voting booths in the state will allow voters to vote till 6 pm on Wednesday, November 20. This means that barring exceptions made locally, the voting would conclude by 6 pm. Maharashtra saw 45.53% voter turnout by 3 pm in its 288-member state legislative assembly elections, with Gadchiroli leading at 62.99%. In the Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll, 41.58% participated. Key political players include the BJP-led Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi.

Jharkhand recorded 67.59 per cent voting till 5 p.m., surpassing 67.04 per cent voting in the 2019 Assembly elections, the Election Commission of India said here on Wednesday.

Bye-polls were also held in the Nanded Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra and 15 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala and Uttarakhand.
