Tomorrow is a First a First Alert Weather Day. Expect showers and a few thunderstorms, especially in the morning. Some rain could be heavy through the morning commute, so be prepared to give yourself some extra time early on in the day. It will be breezy at times with gusts around 20 mph in the afternoon. Highs on Tuesday will top off around 70.

It’s a First Alert Weather Day Tuesday for heavy rain still in east Alabama. It’s been a while since we have seen this much rainfall. We saw about a dozen traffic accidents this morning with ponding on the roadways, oil rising to the surface, wet leaves, hydroplaning...all issues that now continue east of Interstate 65 this late morning.

A line of storms will develop in the western part of North Texas after midnight and move eastward into the Metroplex during the morning commute. Strong winds will gust 35-40 mph overnight before the storms arrive and remain gusty into Monday afternoon.

Rain will track into the area, and once the rain starts, rain will continue through the evening and into Tuesday. The rain will be fairly continuous through Tuesday morning, and all of us are likely to pick up at least 0.

Through the day today the weather will stay quiet. It’ll be warm and breezy as highs jump back to the 80s. Later this evening around your drive home time, rain chances will begin to increase. By late evening more storms are expected with heavy rains training over the area.
